Following the success of the Eurostar Upcycled TM bag, I was enlisted by Worn Again to design an upcycled product concept for the Royal Mail.
Utilising old Storm Jackets, the process was refined to the simplest manufacturing means, both in deconstruction and reconstruction.
The result was a bag and two internal mail envelopes made from just 9 stamp cuts into the jacket, leaving only 3% waste.
The bag was launched as part of Royal Mail's involvement in the annual Global 10:10 event which raises awareness about carbon emissions and ways to reduce them.
